Our high-quality CBD capsules are a convenient and precise option for those on the go, or those, who for whatever reason simply can’t use our CBD oil. Sub-lingual application (under the tongue) is not always an option for people. This is why we’ve created our capsule range. They’re a very small, easy to swallow capsule packed with our highly revered Karma Coast extract. Not only do the capsules contain our very gently extracted, full-spectrum, organic CBD oil, but we’ve also added three different terpenes to add even more beneficial properties to the end product. These three terpenes are myrcene, humulene and linalool. The terpenes work in a synergistic way with the cannabinoids to create a powerful increase in effect to the end product. Here’s a little about them.
Myrcene (or β-myrcene) is a terpene that occurs often in highly fragrant plants and herbs such as lemongrass, and basil. Myrcene is also produced by numerous cannabis strains, and studies have suggested that it can lend relaxing effects. Another place myrcene is present is mangoes. Anecdotal evidence suggests that eating a ripe mango prior to consuming our cannabinoids may accentuate or extend the beneficial effects; some have suggested that this is due to the fruit’s concentrations of myrcene, which is naturally synergistic with cannabis and allows cannabinoids to more easily bridge the blood-brain barrier. Myrcene is known to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain relief) and antibiotic benefits.
Linalool is a naturally occurring terpene found in many flowers and spices including lavender and coriander. It gives off a delicate floral aroma and is one of the substances used most widely to reduce stress. Humans have inhaled the scent of certain plants, including many containing linalool since ancient times to help lower stress levels, fight inflammation, and combat depression. Linalool has been the subject of many studies including one in which scientists allowed lab rats to inhale linalool while exposing them to stressful conditions. It was reported that linalool returned elevated stress levels in the immune system to near-normal conditions. Linalool is known to have anti-anxiety, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-epileptic and analgesic properties.
The subtle earthy, woody and spicy notes that give hoppy beers their distinct taste and aroma are also partly responsible for giving cannabis its unique scent. Both hops and cannabis share a common terpene humulene. Humulene is found in a wide variety of plants and has been used for centuries in Eastern medicine. Humulene is also no stranger to modern biomedical research, including studies on black pepper, hops, and ginseng and research have proven it to be an effective anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and is an appetite suppressant. With this exclusive blend of terpenes added to our already outstanding quality Karma Coast extract, our capsules are the most effective on the market. We advise taking the capsules with food for maximum absorption and efficacy.
